Peter Bailey, CEO of Arup Australasia and Chairman of the Shackleton Epic Leadership Round Table, in partnership with Australia’s leading business publication,Financial Review BOSS, invite business leaders in Australia to join the inaugural Shackleton Epic Leadership Round Table on Thursday 4 April 2013 at the Sydney Opera House.

Her Excellency,Professor Marie Bashir, AC CVO, Governor of New South Wales, is Patron of the Shackleton Epic Leadership Round Table.

The Shackleton Epic Leadership Round Table provides an exceptional opportunity for Australia’s most dynamic business leaders to gather together and celebrate the visionary leadership skills of Sir Ernest Shackleton. Shackleton’s leadership in the face of adversity is recognized globally and studied in international business schools.

The Shackleton Epic Leadership Round Table will be led by Margot Morrell (author of New York Times business bestseller Shackleton’s Way and U.S. veteran business observer) who will provoke our thinking about the ways in which business leaders navigate the unique challenges of the 21st century.  Facilitated by Natasha Cica, Sidney Myer Creative Fellow for Thought Leadership who will join Margot Morrell and Tim Jarvis to discuss the latest thinking about exceptional leadership.

Only 28 seats are available at the Shackleton Epic Leadership Round Table in Australia – the same number of men Shackleton led on his Endurance voyage.

Shackleton Epic is the official re-enactment of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s remarkable Antarctic voyage of 1914 – 1916.  Led by renowned adventurer and Arup sustainability leader, Tim Jarvis AM during January and February, Tim and his crew successfully became the first in history to recreate the ‘double’ feat of survival.
